Last week, I crushed two fingers on my left hand, and sprained my right wrist. As you can imagine, this made typing pretty darned painful. In my current job, I have to type a lot. So I called up MacMall and ordered a MacSpeech Dictate.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with results. It works best if you speak in complete sentences, but I find that if I miss a word, I have to backup a lot. I'm sure it's a matter of getting used to the software.
Of course, I'm not actually typing this entry. I'm speaking it into the provided USB microphone.

The move to Blogger
In my old age, I've discovered I don't like maintaining software installations. So I'm going to attempt to move this blog from WordPress to Blogger.
